CMAT bundles quick, painless Measura checks of blood flow, small-nerve health, heart rhythm and body composition into one visit. It looks for the hidden body-wide problems that slow tendon and joint healing, so they can be worked on before and after PRP.

Your physician orders this test when the result will change your plan. You have it only if it is ordered for you.
What is CMAT (CardioMetabolic Assessment Test)?
CMAT, the CardioMetabolic Assessment Test, bundles several Measura measurements into one sitting.
What does it tell your physician?
Platelets land in the body you bring to the injection. Poor blood flow in the legs, damaged sweat-gland nerves, or a nervous system stuck in fight-or-flight can each slow healing. CMAT helps find them.
What does it feel like?
Cuffs go on your arms and ankles and small sensors clip to your fingertips while your palms and soles sit on metal plates. Nothing goes through the skin.
How do you get ready?
Wear clothes that leave your arms and ankles easy to reach. Stay off caffeine and nicotine for the few hours before your test.
What should you tell us first?
- Tell us before test day about any pacemaker or pregnancy
How long does it take?
About 30 to 45 minutes.
What to remember
- Painless; nothing pierces the skin.
- Cut out caffeine and nicotine a few hours ahead.
- It looks for body-wide reasons healing stalls.
Show us you have it: Tell us step by step how you will get ready on test morning. Anything still unclear? Ask, and we will go over it with you again.

Other tests in the program
It belongs to the physiotherapy program for PRP and joint care at PRP STL. A physician orders and watches over every treatment, and nothing starts unless one can step in right away.
